Paint Correction - The Process

We fully recognise the importance of maintaining and show casing your vehicle to the best it can be at all times. Whether that may be an exotic supercar, a cherished sports car, a prestige marque or your treasured daily driver, it will still receive the same amount of time and dedication as well as being subject to all of the same meticulous processes. Our pursuit for excellence and attention to detail ensures first class results with every commission undertaken.

Paint Correction is a specialist technique which is carried out using a Rotary, dual action machine polisher, an extensive range of professional polishes and polishing pads also wet and dry sanding machine, a paint depth gauge (to measure the thickness of the paintwork prior to polishing). It can take anywhere between 4-56 hours to complete. The paintwork of your vehicle can become damaged from poor washing techniques and, over time, through weathering. Swirl marks, light scratches, holograms, and embedded contaminants such as hard rain, insect splatter, and bird stains can all contribute to surface damage and leave the paintwork looking dull and jaded. At Prestige Valeting we can re correct this damage to create a spectacular finish, which leaves your vehicle looking better than new, and fully protected.       • This service is for customers who would like the removal of Orange Peel or can be use for eliminate heavy swirl marks, scratches and blemishes. It is a flexible option depending how far the customer would like to go to get the paint re-leveled. This process involves full wet and dry sanding. It will create a flawless finish over the entire vehicle and produce a show car finish. For this to be achieved the paint must be re-leveled and completed flat eliminating the orange peel. After this has been completed a multi stage correction will be done to remove the sanding marks and to bring the ultimate gloss/mirror finish. For this service we use DA sander, hand sand and both Rotary and DA machines. Before any machine polishing has started we use our state of the art thickness gauge to measure paint thickness.
